🚀 My Story
In 2016, I read more than 100 books. I read like it was the end of the world. It felt like an achievement.
But, by the end of the year, I had a hard time recalling even one useful idea from each book. The lessons weren't sticking and were quickly being forgotten.
That moment became a turning point in my life.
I realized that for ideas and lessons from books to stick, I needed to start engaging with my notes.
I need to review them, organize them, make them actionable. To turn them into something I could actually use in my life.
And so in 2017, I started creating book summaries based on my highlights. I found that summarizing the book’s key ideas helped me remember what I read.
In the beginning, I kept the summaries to myself. But one day, I realized these could also be valuable to other people. And so I started publishing them on my blog.
This was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
Since then, I’ve summarized 60+ of the best nonfiction books of all time. They have been read more than 1 million times and changed some lives:
“Thanks for all your notes on books and your tips for productivity, they helped me a lot get back on track in my job as after reducing my working hours I was really struggling, but now it's much better.” - Björk
But that’s not even the best part…
🧠 Building a Brain OS
This year, I decided I need to have a central location for all my summaries. So I moved all my book notes to Notion. I call it the Brain OS.
Having all my notes in one tool allows me to better organize, remember, and apply everything I ever read.
If I need a refresher on the main lessons from Deep Work by Cal Newport so I can be more productive, I can simply open my Brain OS and review my notes:
Or if I'm trying to build a new habit, I can look up the Four Laws of Behavior Change from Atomic Habits by James Clear:
Building my Brain OS in Notion has changed my life.
This system has allowed me to maximize my creative output (my book summaries inspire many of my articles and videos), identify recurring ideas from books I’ve read, and most important: internalize what I’ve read.
In this video masterclass, I’ll show you my exact process for creating book summaries that will help you remember what you read months, even years, after reading.
This system will make you a more efficient reader and note-taker and will change how you read (and maybe even your life.)
💭 What People Are Saying
💡 Why You Need a Brain OS
There are three key benefits of building your own Brain OS:
#1 Remember what you read.
Reading a book from cover to cover doesn’t mean you’ve finished it. It means you read it. A book is only completed after you’ve applied the lessons you’ve learned.
We’ve all read a book only to forget its key ideas as soon as we finish. Summarizing a book in your own words, though, minimizes that problem by helping you internalize the book’s key insights.
#2 Connect key concepts from other books.
Writing summaries create building blocks for your own thinking and creating. You can connect ideas from other books you’ve read.
You write summaries to think. And you read summaries to refresh.
#3 Improve your writing and thinking.
If you create any kind of content - articles, videos, podcasts - you need to refer to and reference ideas you’ve read as quickly as possible.
Even if you're not a writer or a creative, there’s value in “remixing” an idea as part of the retrieval process.

If you went out and bought all of these books, you’d pay around $800-1,000. If you then spent the 4-8 hours reading each book, and 1-2 hours taking notes on them, it’d take you anywhere from 350 – 700 hours to recreate this.

Once you purchase, you’ll get sent a link to access book notes in Notion.
You’ll immediately be able to search all of my book notes, copy text out of them, make copies of them to remix into your own notes, and most importantly, you’ll have access to the core of my last five years of exploration into learning, self-improvement, fitness, travel, money, and all of the other topics I explore on my blog.
